This webinar focused on the detection of defective viral genomes (DVGs). Understanding the kinetics of DVG accumulation and duration could predict clinical outcomes of RSV A infection in humans and thus, could be used as a prognostic tool to identify patients at risk of worse clinical disease. Through an interactive discussion and interview with prof. Carolina B. Lopez and co-host, dr. Ursula Buchholz, participants took lessons learned from these findings back to their own research.
